ARC Raiders offers a huge patch [1]

Two weeks after launch, ARC Raiders, one of the best new video games of 2025, has released a major update including new content, XP balancing, and refunding credits to players for overpriced cosmetic items.

ARC Raiders is as much a social experiment as it is an extraction shooter. Players are left to their own devices to become PVP aggressors or helpful, cooperative friends to all. Embark, the game's developer, has offered a slew of updates to the still fresh game, none of which change that incredibly addictive dynamic. You may encounter friendlies who help you complete a quest, or teach you a new game mechanic, just as often as you get shot in the back by a lying rat bastard who claimed to be on your side.

What Embark changed is some XP values, prices on cosmetic items, fixes for latency issues, and a community event to open a new map area. I am looking forward to trying it out, and I'll enjoy the 500 credit refund they gave me for buying a cool skin for myself and my chicken.
