       inline-images patch for gopherproxy-c

       Prologue
       --------
       
       If the world would be a better place, a small and simple gopherhole would be all
       you need.
       
       The world is not there yet.
       Only a few of us have understood the value of simplicity over feature-richness.
       But more and more people start to understand these values.
       
       One problem is that people start to realize the value of simplicity very late.
       By then they already have learned and internalized a lot of paradigms that nebulize
       their view.
       At this stage it is hard for them to imagine that all the fun things that we do and
       love can be achieved without a overcomplex browser program like Google Chrome or
       Firefox or other harmful software.
       
       A wise man once tought me:
               Don't force them, live a funny happy life and show
               them through this example how things should be done.

       Following these wise words I try to live a happy and simple life and - if the chance
       occurs - I do show my way of doing things.
       And I noticed that this works pretty well. I was able to make people curious and
       have them start to think outside the box.
       
       Coming from a life full of complexity and driven by consumerism, making the immediate
       shift towards a life of simplicity and real freedom can be discouraging. Like jumping
       down a cliff.
       
       Therefore, metaphorically spoken, I decided to build a staircase for them to climb
       down to the idyllic valley of freedom and simplicty.

       Another wise man once wrote a fine piece of software that can function as exactly
       that staircase.

       The Patch
       ---------
       
       In order to metaphorically lower the height of each stair tread, I made a patch
       that changes gopherproxy-c to render pictures *inline*.
       
       This patch itself can act as an example that simple software can be hacked to what
       you want it to do.
       And the appearance of pictures inside a gopher-based site proves that pictures can
       still play a role in the world of gopher.
