....and what do I have to show for my best laid plans?  Two non-booting
Macs!  My IIsi is making noises that are both electrically and 
mechanically bad and my trusty Mac LC doesn't make any noise at all.

I'm not going to let this beat me!  I'm counting on my PowerBook
1400 (G3) at this point...  I had it on GlobalTalk via my LC last
year, though.  Still, it's probably my most ready GlobalTalk-friendly-
real-Mac left to try.  I may still attempt a functional miniature
emulated Mac build -- in the spirit of some of the excellent examples
I've seen already.  After all, this may be the best way to continue
with my A/UX ambitions.  I really miss my Quadra 700...

(Sidebar: my Q700 was such a great find
  -- retired from a real Nashville home music
  studio.  This thing had the 601 upgrade, maxxed memory,
  audio upgrades.  I think I'd probably have kept it if it hadn't
  been for the smell -- no amount or formula of retrobrite
  could have un-smoked all those cigarettes!
