I recently purchased a Connor 200MB drive model 3204. I bought an Everex
IDE card to go with it, model EV-8120-01. Since then I have had some
problems.

First, none of my disk caching software will work properly with the drive.
The drive is always slower after loading the cache.
Second, I occasionally get an error reading drive C (the Connor) if I'm
running a disk intensive program. When I press 'r' for 'Retry' after the
error, the operation continues fine. Very intermittent.
Third, I understand from a friend, that disk de-fragmenting software (like
Norton's) can damage the cache of the Connor drive. I haven't been able
to contact Connor about this last one.

Does anyone out there have sugggestions or familiarity with the above
problems? Any help would be appreciated. E-mail is fine.

BTW, I'm using Compaq DOS 3.31.

Thanks in advance,
Gordon
