In VMS DECWindows, you set the server's access list by going to the Session
Manager window and bringing up the Customize Security dialog box through
the pulldown menus.

If you want to write or port your own xhost, be aware that the VMS server
only accepts the undocumented FamilyGeneric host specification. Someone
at DEC apparently felt that the VMS community would find the FamilyDECnet
host specification too insecure and made a new Family type. FamilyGeneric
lets you specify remote DECnet access on a per-user basis.
