What happens if it was in area code 619? Then, I think you would see
the advantage. :-)  

I use ROA too, so it doesn't make much difference. Althought if I moved
to a metropolitan area, it would be nice. We're switching the bulk of
our traffic to PSI, which *does* have a POP in Ithaca.

I hear PSI has a centralized news and e-mail server, even though their
distribution system (POPs) are decentralized. Sigh... Which means if
uu.psi.com fails.... Which is also why I requested that my MX forwarding
records look like:

	200 uu.psi.com
	300 relay1.uu.net
	300 relay2.uu.net

Which means that if PSI goes down, then my mail *should* go through
UUNET (I'm retaining subscriptions on both systems). This seems the
best for right now. The problem is if PSI goes only half down, like
UUNET does, and limps for a long time. E-mail will still go to them,
but may not make it to me.
