Here are my general questions:
Is there a *good* f77 compiler for the transputers?
Should I look for a system with a PC host or would I be better off using a
SUN, DEC, HP, or some other workstation? (I currently have a DECstation 3100.)
What would be the approximate price for a system with 4 transputers
and how much would it cost to expand to 16 or 64 processors.
Also, a while down the road I might like to use a parallel computer system
to do some of our medical imaging processing. I'd prefer a system I can grow
with so I think a high data transfer rate between the host and transputers
would be neccessary as would the ability to handle lots of RAM (16 M or more).

Thanks in advance
Ray
