I'm considering third party drives for a NeXTstation. I am concerned
about noise levels though. I'm looking for the idle and operating
acoustic levels for the 105MB quantum drive and the 340MB seagate drive
that ship with the NeXTstations.

I'm currently considering a 1GB drive from Micropolis which idles at 32dB
and operates at 35dB. However, I have nothing to compare it with.
Is this loud (generally or relative to the NeXT drives)? Any constructive
comments appreciated.

Please e-mail your comments and if there is enough interest I will post a summary.
