 Offhand, try setting the system in "low gear".  I have seen several
 similar messages on my 486-33, several games and Avery LabelPro.
 Avery LP needed a new exe.  The others would work at 8Mh instead of
 33Mh.  In one case (Monkey Island) that problem was due to a race 
 condition while waiting for the Sound Blaster driver to respond.

 Anyway, try a slower speed for starters.
