That is true, but you leave out that this option does exist for the
Amiga.  You can completely replace the display hardware just like the
IBMs can.  That's what the video slot is for.

The A2410 is awaiting release as we talk (type).  Now you have XGA on
the Amiga, just like 'them'.

Look in Amigaworld for any of the 24-bit cards, VGA boards
("flicker-fixers"), and other stuff.  I see plenty.
