I recently received my registered copy of WinQVT (4.66) and had noted
some of the problems of the original poster.

Specifically: WinQVT used EGA fonts on my VGA when I'd installed the vga
fonts into \windows\system\vt220.fon. This happened in all windows modes.
Curiously, my 286 with VGA worked properly. I fixed my problem by running
WinQVT by calling up the ".VT" file; you'll need to put the line
"vt=winqvt.exe ^.vt" in the proper place in your WIN.INI file, then change
the properties of the WinQVT icon to reference the .vt file (you'll probably
want to use WinQVT's icon too).

Also, when a partial screen redraw was done from our host word processor
garbage text is left on the screen. Sorry, but I've got no fix for this one.
I did report both problems to the company; they are responsive.

Other problems I found include:
      - using "load=" the WinQVT icon is not displayed. The program is there,
and is running, and the icon text is there, but there is NO ICON.
      - Exiting WinQVT hangs up my modem. The initial version I used didn't,
at least I don't recall it doing so.
      - Kermit file transfer only works when the host has a really GOOD version
of kermit. Unix hosts work well. IBM and Prime....forget it.

Hope this helps a little.
