I'm looking for anybody who has experience hooking up NeXT machines with
twisted pair cabling.

We have a NeXT network which, when connected with thin-ethernet, works fine.
However, when we connect the NeXTs up to an HP Ethertwist hub, the machines
can't find the netinfo server.....

1) The HP Hub appears to be working fine. Lights work as specified in the
manuals, etc......

2) The thin-ethernet cabling is fabricated 1-1,2-2,3-3,6-6. The LEDs on the
Hub light up when we connect each NeXT machine (but, the NeXT has no way to
say if it knows the connection is made).

3) Distance between nodes shouldn't be a problem (6-8ft currently).

What do you suggest? I have access to an ethernet lanalyzer, but the NeXT
site is over 75 miles away (so on-site diagnostics are difficult). I will
take my lanalyzer next time I go, but it is not an option at this time.

Anybody else hooked up NeXTs with twisted pair ethernet??? I need some
brilliant suggestions.......
