We have a collection of VMS systems and have also recently purchased
some SGI Iris systems. Using the DECwindows users manual, it was easy
to display a DECterm on an SGI, but I haven't managed to get xterm to
display on a VMS system. Questions:

1) How well can a DECterm be customized to match an SGI keyboard to a
LK201 ?

2) More importantly, how can VMS be convinced to allow general X
applications from non-dec clients to be displayed under DECwindows. We
have tried all of the obvious security permissions, but nothing seems
to go. We are running VMS 5.3-1, and using UCX as a transport layer.

Please e-mail any responses to me. Thank you.
