My elmrc has the above values as well.  The problem I have is that my
saved mail is no longer automatically saved to the username of sender.

Here is the behaviour I would like:

all sent mail saved to =sent
reveived mail, when saved, saved to =$sender

But it seems that I must trade the one for the other. Any help will be 
appreciated.
