Subject: Viewing icl4/8 for applications in Finder 7.0 instead of ICN#

I am having serious difficulties having Finder 7.0 displaying color icons
instead of the original B/W version for applications.

I looked into the applications provided with 7.0 and discovered nothing new:
ICN#, icl4 and icl8 have the same number and are shown in the BNDL as the
three large icon possible view.
So, I copied a few icl8 previously used with SunDesk and pasted them into
the appropriate applications, taking care of matching the resource ID with the
existing ICN#.

Then, Quit ResEdit, check display: nothing changed, still B/W
Ok, close window, reopen it: still B/W
Fine: restart the mac, look at display: no change
Last: restart the mac, rebuild the desktop: B/W display still there.

I also tried to paste a picture into the Get Info box and, indeed, the color
icons were created as well as a B/W version of it. But there again, only the
B/W version was displayed.

So, What is required to have the Desktop/Finder/System admit that there is
a color icon to display instead of the B/W version?

Thanks for your help.

Jerome
