Presently, there is no other way besides a motherboard swap, but there
should be plethora of 25 MHz accelerator cards for both the '030/882
and '040 processors out any time now.

The built in SCSI controller allows up to 7 more drives to be daisy-chained
externally. Also, there is one unoccupied internal bay, in which you could
place an internal 3.5 inch SCSI hard drive in place of one of the external
7 drives allowed. Other drive options include hard cards which are hard
drives on cards that fit into an Amiga expansion slot. These are more
expensive since they also have a drive controller built in, whereas SCSI
drives don't.

Commodore's UNIX bundle (not yet released, but very soon). Includes
a Q150 tape with all the software needed, UNIX ROMs to be inserted on
the A3000 mother board, and manuals. (Note: these are just my observations
from the general news I've heard and not exactly what the bundle might
contain.)

>4. Which DOS ROMs will I find in a new A3000/25-50? 2.0X ?

None. There is a patch ROM installed which causes the computer to load
the DOS from hard drive. The actual 2.0X ROMS are suppose to be out
"soon." 2.03 (disk) is available to A3000 owners, and 2.04 (Beta) is
available to developers.
