I have recently purchased a MaxxYoke for the Amiga to be used
with the available flight simulators. The users guide contained a list of
simulators which support the yoke and all our favorite simulators were on
it. I now find out that the list pertained to the MS-Dos products and only
Sublogic supports the Amiga yoke. I then find out FSII only supports the
digital mode of the yoke (read usless). I called Sublogic about their support
and they told me, "Yea we support the MaxxYoke. Analog mode? Our engineer
say's he has never really hooked up a yoke to the Amigo!". Pretty pathetic!
I drool over flying my collection of flight simulators with this yoke.
It is really cool. (Tactile feedback, self centering, rudder pedal options...)
I am preparing a letter to send to various companies in
hopes of getting them to support this yoke in the analog mode. Am I the
only Amigoid interested in this? I hope not. If you would like to see
support of this device with your favorite flight simulator, drop me a line
in E-mail and I will include your comments with my letters.
The yoke cost me $60 which is more than a good joystick, but would
be well worth it if it were supported. Would anyone else spend money for
this yoke?
