I consider myself a user, and I suppose my time is valuable. This endless
search for more speed certainly doesn't make me want to jump up and down.
I'd rather see elegance, beauty, thought,etc...put into problems than
lines of programmers/users churning out endless code and speadsheets.

I'm not saying that there isn't a time and place for fast computers. I am
saying it's relatively unimportant in the larger scheme of things. There
are more important issues involved with computing, from a uer's point of
view at least, than just getting anything to run faster.
