Although my request is not directly related to this group, I
expect that there are readers out there who can help me.

I am looking for good reference materials/books that discuss
error detection techniques in high speed communications systems.
Specifically I am looking for hardware implementations along with the
kind of error coverage you get.

For instance, what error coverage do you get from the checksum used
in TCP and IP?

I am already familiar with CRC-16 and 32, so please save bandwidth
on those two.

	You can e-mail me directly.

				Thanks in advance,
