Sounds like a Teledisk file to me.  I have no idea which archive may contain
a version, but it is shareware (if you like it, you're expected to pay a fee
for its usage).  The current version of Teledisk I have seen floating around
is V2.12.  Archive files created with Teledisk must be unarchived with a
version number greater than or equal to the version used to create the
archive in the first place...
