Sorry if this topic has been discussed at length already, but I'm at a point
where I want to get some utilities for Windows 3. I'm interested in things
like an undeleter and/or rescuer, a volume fixer, a locater (preferably one
that will be able to locate items within files, a screensaver, etc. It seems
that I've pretty much narrowed to field down to Becker Tools (v.2) and HDC
File Apps (along with their First Apps as well). Becker is slightly more
expensive than File Apps, but if you add First Apps, then the HDC pair is
more expensive. I figure I might be able to pick up individual utility files
here and there, but at this point I think it is preferable to get a package.
Does anybody have any recommendations? specifically about these packages, or
about others.
(The Jan 1991 issue of PC Computing has a nice overview of these things, but
I've found it is always informative to hear from non-professional users.)
Thanks very much.
