Hello,
Please excuse my ignorance. We have several Ciscos and I would like
to see the logging messages, normally coming on the console, to be
redirected to my Sun workstation console or a file there. Reading the
Cisco manual, my current logging configuration looks like:

       Syslog logging: enabled
             Console logging: level informational, .....
             Monitor logging: level informational, .....
             Trap logging: informational, ....
             Logging to 1.2.3.4

On my sun, in the /etc/syslog.conf file, I have a statement

       local7.info /usr/log/cisco.logins

I have killed the syslogd and restarted it, and the file /usr/log/cisco.logins
does exist.

I have not seen anything in that file. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance - Ratilal Haria
