Just to let y'all know, the following programs in the win3/uploads
directory of cica.indiana.edu have problems with the zipfiles, and when
pkzipfixed, there are problems with either the executables or
associated files which cause either weird errors or UAE's to all hell
 (whew!) :-) :

 alwin15.zip
 blkjack.zip
 copyit12.zip
 noteman.zip
 wbt20d.zip

Thanks for the notice. Apparently someone has done the housekeeping
for me, as all but one of these files (alwin15.zip) was actually in
the uploads directory as of 10p Tuesday.

I'm not certain if they were corrupt BEFORE uploading, or what. But,
just in case, let me remind everyone that they should specify "tenex"
or "binary" to their ftp programs before using the "send" or "put"
command. Same goes for the "get" command.

Just as a side note, NEVER run applications that fail CRC checks with
PKZIP or PKZIPFIX. You're just asking for trouble. UAE's ain't HALF
the story...

In the meantime, maintenance of the cica archives is still on hold as
I've not yet found a replacement for my thunderstorm-cooked modem that
went last week. Contributions to the modem fund can be sent care
of... ;-)
