Yeah, real nice of them to show the //e and GS in such a nice light.
The four computers are lined up side by side, with the //e on the left,
the GS to its right, the Mac Classic next to that, and the LC on the
far right. On the screen are several pictures. I think the //e
screen has a graphic of a stone wheel, the GS screen has a picture of
the Wright Bros. plane, the Classic has a jet airplane, and the LC
has a picture of an Apollo rocket. The headline implies that the
Classic and LC are the next steps in the evolution of the commputer.

Lets give Apple a couple of really hard raps on the knuckles with a
ruler for showing their own computers as archaic and outdated technology.
Nothing like making your own customers (schools) feel like they have
just purchased a piece of worthless technology (a stone wheel? come on!).
Those marketing types really must have their heads in the sand DEEP.
I'm not even a marketing type but I think I could figure out that its
not a good idea to publicly degrade your own products, especially when
they still make money for you.

Hopefully the rumors about continued (and improved) development for the //
are true and we wont have to cringe at the sight of ads like these
anymore.
