For the last question, add the following line to your .xinitrc, for instance:

  aixterm -geometry 80x25 -T remoteHost -n remoteHost -e ksh -ic 'rlogin remoteHost' &

Of course, you have to prepare for rlogin (.rhosts, etc.).
