Just a question I'm curious about, but which has no real significance to me:
What are the "average" access times for ROM? I know RAM is basically in the
range of 70ns-150ns, and someone a few posts back mentioned that some
accelerator product for the "lowly" Macs can copy the ROM into RAM to speed
operations. How much of a speedup would be gained? Is ROM access time
basically the same for all ROMS, or do machines like the IIfx have faster
ROMs than Pluses and Classics?
