I suspect that I am not the only one who got frustrated after trying
for over 5 hours to place a figure in a two-columns document.

Case in point:

I am using emtex, and I have this picture that I want placed right
after the sentence:

"Consider the following graph".

I am using the proc style, which sets-up the paper into a camera ready
format for proceedings (two columns, 10pts etc ...).

I just can't put this picture were I'd like it to be ! The figure environment
does not allow me to use the [h] option (neither does the figure* !).

I can't picture myself trying to fix the absolute coordinate of
the picture ! There must be an easier way to do this !

Any help would be very appreciated.

1:17 a.m. ! Already !!!
