Thanks for the replies to my previous query.  

I compiled up the undump sent by Steve Dempsey on a 9000/300 and THEN
tried a perl -u and received an: IOT trap (core dumped).
As I noted from Tom C's item on undump for sun this was NOT the kind
of core dump expected.  Oh well, back to 45-60 second perl script loads.

Note: this is using perl 3.044

    This was taken from the TeX82 distribution.  It definitely runs under
    HPUX7.0 on a 9000/300.

    Doesn't compile on 9000/800 under 7.0 though.

    If memory serves, the GNU Emacs distribution contains an undump #ifdef'd for
    the Series 300 and 800...
