Well the raise/lower wouldn't be hard, but I haven't done it.  My
auto-map-event-handler that I have posted before does the iconify/de-iconify:
it closes the minibuffer (and any other non-interesting screens) when the
last epoch screen is closed and opens them again when any epoch screen is
opened.  Also, iconifying the minibuffer can close all epoch screens and
opening the minibuffer will bring them back.
