Subject: Moving directories while retaining trustee lists & attributes

This is an expanded version of an earlier posting. I have received a number
of replies, mostly asking for the solution to this problem when I find it.
Therefore I will post my findings when available. Please read on:

We have recently increased the disk size of our Advanced Netware 2.15C
server from 80MB to 655MB. The 80MB disk was organized as a single Netware
volume, SYS: with all user subdirectories placed under SYS:HOME. The new
disk has three volumes SYS:, USR1: and USR2:. I would like to move all
user directories, the entire directory tree now under SYS:HOME, to the root
directory of USR1:.

Is there a utility to move the entire directory tree SYS:HOME to USR1:
while retaining all trustee lists, attributes and ownership info? I have
experimented with the archiving/restoring utilities included with Netware,
Cheyenne Software's Netback and ArcServe but none fill the bill.

NCOPY /P copies Netware attributes but loses ownership and trustee
             information.

NARCHIVE/LARCHIVE preserves Netware attributes and trustee lists but
loses file and directory ownership info. I find these
utilities impractical for large volume archiving (100+ MB).

NETBACK The ARCHIVE function from Cheyenne's NETBACK utility does
            exactly what NCOPY /P does.

ARCSERVE The ARCHIVE function from Cheyenne's ARCSERVE package preserves
Netware attributes and ownership of files and directories but
             not trustee info.

This should be a routine housekeeping job. Any suggestions would be
appreciated.
