Having tried and failed to install Emacs on our IBM-RS/6000000, I
resorted to JOVE instead.  For those of you who don't know, JOVE is a
smaller editor - more or less a subset of Emacs with slight
differences (I don't care much for Emacs, and JOVE was close enough).
One nice difference is that Emacs took about 15MB of our disk on our
Sun's, while JOVE takes only 1.5MB (both with source code).

Anyway, JOVE required only a few mods to get it up and running.  We
got it from cs.toronto.edu.  If there is any interest, I will post our
diffs.
