1) Would some kind soul please compile gnu chess and send the binaries
to atari.archive? I have tried, but gnu chess has some monster functions,
and my mega 2 runs out of memory even with the optimisation turned off.
__PLEASE__ use Eric Smith's MiNT library and GCC to compile if possible.
The fancy curses-based version would be the best thing, probably. I
know that Eric Smith did a port a couple of years back, but I cannot
even get it to run under MiNT and Gulam (not to mention mgr).

2) If anyone is daring and really likes MGR, you could try porting the
Sunview/X-Windows version of Gnu chess, including icons and (I presume)
mouse support. Wouldn't that be nice to run under MGR??

Thanks,

David
