not period, try ; and

A while ago I did some concentrated thinking on this subject and decided
that for a relationship to last, a man and a woman must love not only each
other but also a third thing which they both love and cherish together.
A man and woman can love a child, God, or an ideal or dream that they share
together but they must have something else outside of the pair of them
to work for togher together. It could be a religious ideal both share, such
as the vision of a christian life. Or it could be something as
mundane as the vision of a beautiful home with hot tub and three garages.
The main thing is that the project must be ongoing. That's all, no period.
Lots of room for variety, and, and and and also...
