Hello,

a week or so ago we had a report in our TV-news about the testing of
MIG-29 at the Bundeswehr test range near Manching.

The Bundeswehr got 24 of these machines, 4 were brougth to Manching.

The Bundeswher pilots said they were impressed by its performance,
it could detect a F16 on 60km distance and fight it. US experts needed
two days to find a solution to jamming the radar.

US people are highly interested in these tests since IRAQ flighs also
MIG-29 and the pilots were trained in the former GDR.

On difficulty was reported as to the NVA pilots flying in Manching:
They don't speak english, only russian, and so have trouble to talk
to flight control -:)
