In article <1990Nov10.183928.10657@isis.cs.du.edu> dpayne@isis.cs.du.edu (Dirk Payne) writes:

Early last week I saw a article (somewhere in GNU) that spoke of
   MS-DOS ports of GNU software.

You can ftp the MSDOS file from prep.ai.mit.edu, in directory pub/gnu.

Could someone point me in the general FTP direction?

The collection of programs known as the GNUish MS-DOS project is
available for ftp at the following addresses:

	vulcan.phyast.pitt.edu [130.49.33.16], in pub/pc/gnudos.
	ocf.berkeley.edu [128.32.184.254], in pub/GNU/gnuish-msdos.
	wsmr-simtel20.army.mil [26.2.0.74], in various places.
	funic.funet.fi [128.214.6.100], in pub/msdos/gnudos.

P.S. - Is there a project leader? Does anyone know how to reach
   him/her?

Thorsten Ohl <td12@ddagsi3.bitnet> made most of the ports, and
moderates the project.
