Subject: Help! How does one find bad files?

Please help!

I have GS (ROM 01) with a Seagate SCSI drive (40 Meg). I use SALVATION to
back up my hard drive. My last good back-up was about two months ago.

My hard drive recently got sick, and some of the files have gone bad.

I would like to reformat, etc., after first backing up everything on the hard
drive.

The problem is that SALVATION craps out when a corrupt file is encountered,
unless the file type has been changed to BAD.

DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A UTILITY (FREE-, SHARE-, OR COMMERCIAL-WARE) THAT WILL
SCAN THE ENTIRE DRIVE AND CHANGE THE FILETYPE OF ALL CORRUPT FILES TO "BAD"?

Copy II Plus will identify (but not change) bad files in one directory only.
I have 1500 files over many directories! I have been told by my local dealer
that ProSel "FixCat" might do this, but he didn't have one in the store and
won't for a while.

Your help would be greatly appreciated!
