Without buying someone's software package... :-)

Essentially, I would like to write a little unix utility to take
a zillion or so bitmaps and make an ANIM out of them. This would
not be neccessary if I had an Amiga as fast and diskfull as my
unix machines... (Anyone wanna build me a 50-70 MIP amiga? :-)

The resulting code would be freely redistributable, of course...

(If this tool has already been written, or if source for a good
anim builder already exists and just needs to be ported to UNIX, please
let me know that as well.)
