I have a small script that gives me runtime error 12-3 and says that
extra text follows the 'if 1 then {' line. Am I doing something
incredibly stupid? Replacing the {} with a ... works, but why? What
is there about {} and watch for that don't get along?

if 1 then {
  watch for
     key 27 : print "Esc"
  endwatch
}

I want to write a reasonable complicated script and I would rather
use structured blocks rather than spaghetti code.
