PUBLIC APOLOGY:
My IIcx hard disk problem posted recently was harsh and
unsubstantiated. This is what happens when you read news on a bad day.

On to business:
Well, many people have suggested INITs as the culprit. This is why I
pointed out the use of a IIx as a control. Same drive ==> Same INITs.
I suppose INIT operations could vary between the two platforms. I was
unfortunately biased by several other complaints of the same nature
into thinking the problem was more hardware related. Until I am able
to return to the installation (an hour away) I will be unable to test
this again, but when I do see it happen again, I am going to find out
who is making the drive calls with MacsBug. I will follow up.
