Subject: bash exits on ^C under SunOS 4.0.1

Bash 1.01 (1.02 seemed buggier when I tried to install it after it
first came out) sometimes exits when it shouldn't. One easy way to
reproduce it on this system (Sun 3, SunOS 4.0.1) is:

cd /usr/lib (or any directory with a lot of files)
ls
^C (just before the files start to come out on the screen)
(shell exits - we have a login prompt)

Sometimes it takes two or three tries to get the shell to exit. This
can be annoying (start up a command, realize it's going to take a long
time to get going, type ^C, lose your shell). I cannot repeat this
behaviour under SunOS 3.4, so that may help to isolate the problem.
Sorry this isn't a clean report.
