Subject: What do you use for drawing diagrams?
Message-ID: <1989Jul13.163435.18892@jarvis.csri.toronto.edu>
Summary: Need info on drawing programs
Organization: EECG, University of Toronto

So what software should I use for drawing diagrams? I'd like to be able to
include text easily (multiple sizes & fonts), include basic objects like
ellipses, rectangles, and lines, all on a grid with variable resolution
i.e. choices other than just the pixel resolution, such as you would get in
a paint program. Since this is for printer output, colors aren't really
that important. Any ideas? On Suns at U of T, I use xpic or Idraw. Any
thing like that available?

Any information will be appreciated. Please reply by mail unless you want
to start a debate. :-)
