I posted this originally in comp.sys.ibm.pc, but received no response,
so I am trying this here.

I am trying to find a way to move the system box (complete with noisy
fan, heat dissipation, etc.) away from the keyboard and monitor of a
Compaq '386. (I should add that the monitor is a multi-scan type
and that I am using a VGA card). What I would ideally like is a method
for extending it upwards of 100 feet or so. I realize that this would
probably involve some hardware in addition to simple extension
cables. Anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?
Thanks.
