I'm new to this newsgroup and I don't know if this question has been asked
before so please bear with me. Does anyone know if Minix runs on a
Packard Bell VX-88 computer? It has a NEC V40 CPU which is supposedly
8088 compatible, but I'm not sure what kind of I/O chips it uses and
Andrew Tannenbaum's book mentions that Minix will only run (as is) on
machines that use the same I/O chips as the IBM PC.

Any help would be appreciated.
