Jazz: The 1950's

This home page for the Jazz music scene of the 1950â s is
sponsored by the University of California, at Irvine, and is
packed with information on this musical form. Visitors to this
site will not only find a wealth of books and articles, but also a
comprehensive index of Jazz musicians and photographs. Several
examples of the cover art from this time period are presented,
along with a history of the music and commentary on some of the
key contributors. This site is part of an exhibition of
photographer Ray Averyâ s work with jazz musicians of the 1950s.
