Special Internet Connections

The World Wide Web Consortium consists of CERN, where the Web
originated, MIT LCS, and INRIA. Their mission is to work with the
global computing community to produce specifications and software
used worldwide on the Web, in order to facilitate communication.
Some areas the Consortium (W3C) are working in include security on
the Web, HTML Style Sheets, electronic payments, and the Platform
for Internet Content Selections (PICS). In addition, visitors can
find out more about W3C members, membership requirements, and
