GSI is a major center that studies and conducts research on ions.
It is funded by the Federal Government of Germany and the state of
Hesse. At this site, users can access information about the
Instituteâ s research, including such topics as nuclear, atomic,
and plasma physics, biophysics/cancer therapy, and material
sciences. A phone book with e-mail addresses of the staff are also
available, as well as a listing of conferences and workshops.
