The National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC) site is the primary
database for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
and contains vast amounts of oceanic and atmospheric information
from around the world. It is organized and easy to use by
technical professionals and those familiar with oceanographic
research information. Lay visitors may feel a bit lost or
overwhelmed, but if you are interested in oceanic science, you are
likely to be rewarded by a bit of patient browsing there are
references here to information aimed at a more general audience,
too.
