National Science Foundation World Wide Web Server

Established in 1950 by an act of Congress, the National Science
Foundation is responsible for the promotion of science and
engineering. The NSF awards graduate fellowships, fosters the
exchange of scientific information, and implements the use of
computer technologies to further scientific research. There is
statistical information, current research projects, an overview of
the organization and staff, and a list of publications.
