All User Surveys

The Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) Graphic,
Visualization, & Usability Center's 8th WWW User Survey is
available. The survey (discussed in the January 10, 1997 issue of
the Scout Report ) queried over 10,000 users on topics in the
broad areas of demographics, electronic commerce, and cultural
issues, among others. The site contains an executive summary,
survey methodology, detailed results, datasets and questionnaires.
The survey was run from October-November 1997. The GVU survey is
endorsed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and is one of the
most respected surveys of its kind. [JS]
