Though selective in its parts, this site provides the most
comprehensive introduction to resources on the Net for those
involved in humanities and social science research or study.
Offerings are divided according to discipline. You can explore
online texts and journals in such fields as archaeology, black and
African studies, history, economics, languages, literature,
philosophy, psychology, women's studies, writing, and journalism,
among others. There are links to museum and art exhibitions and to
many archives, including those of the Smithsonian Institution. For
each discipline, addresses and links are provided to one or more
newsgroups. Finally, there is a brief list of some of the better
known e-text book collections. If you have good graphics and sound
capabilities, check out the various history exhibits.
